April ~

Here’s a collage that depicts my first month in Montreal. You can spot Saruul grinding for her exam at 6 am as it’s become a norm for us in the past couple of weeks.

April has been a significant month for me. As a 21-year-old adult, I’ve decided to make a major shift of leaving my home, permanently, to start off my life with a clean slate. Admittedly, I played the biggest role in reaching the decision, though, it’s important to note that the situation I was given was undeniably unfavorable, and unendurable on so many levels.

I was only able to make the move happen with the unconditional love and support from an amazing bunch. I’m also proud of myself for bringing out enough courage to take the leap, especially during the lockdown, risking my health as well as financial stability.

I’ve been wanting to voice out how grateful I am to have the world’s kindest, and the most beautiful soul beside me–someone I’m genuinely proud to call my best friend. Could it get any better than spending the days of the lockdown with your best friend? And although we don’t share the same flat anymore, it’s relieving to know that we’re in close proximity to each other.

In recent weeks, we’ve both worked (literally) day and night to complete our final assessments. Thus, I represent to you a visual portrayal of the unprecedented, yet a momentous period of lockdown, in which it’ll forever be sealed in our memories.
