Life in a plastic bag series
My photography consists of an investigation of people in motion, people carrying so much of the content of their lives, it seems, in plastic bags. For me, the plastic bags are a metaphor for control and the sovereignty people possess, even in a fleeting way, over their lives. It is a testament to these portable lives constantly in motion. Within the casual motion of carefree people swinging their possessions back and forth, I sense a kind of gentle, aspirational moment.
